Conference Fees
Conference fees include the proceedings, coffee breaks and lunches during the conference as well as Monday and Tuesday dinners.
The price for Member* of RWA until 15 April 2020 is 250 EUR and 350 EUR after that date
The price for a Non-member of RWA until 15 April 2020 is 350 EUR and 450 EUR after that date
The price for a PhD/Student** is 75 EUR
For RWA’s member participants or partner associations substantial discounts are ensured by the organizing committee. The accompanying person fee is €100 and includes access to the opening ceremony, as well as Monday and Tuesday dinners.
*The members are RWA members and members of RWA’s partner associations: BWA, IAWD, AMAC, Maviz. The membership status will be checked with each association.
**The participation fee for PhD/Student includes conference materials, coffee breaks and lunches.
Aim of the Conference
“Wastewater Treatment Plant Management in Small and Medium Communities” International Conference offers the opportunity to present and discuss the latest international developments, strategies, techniques and best practices, both in setting policies at regional level and in choosing costeffective solutions. The Conference is organized due to the need to constantly improve the management of wastewater. Some of the major challenges specific to our region are determined by the type of rural development, the degree of development of the communities, the limitation of financial resources available and not least of the specific climate of the area.
The Conference will be part of a series of events organized by the Romanian Water Association within Danube-Eastern Europe Regional Water Forum.

Call for Papers
Authors are invited to present papers which address topics related to the management of small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants. The purpose of the works is to provide a broader vision, reflecting the high quality international experience. You are invited to submit an extended abstract, in Romanian or English language, of up to 800 words including figures,
diagrams or illustrations, in pdf format. Please headline your text with the following information

The proposed themes are:
- Policies and strategies regarding management of small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants;
- Technical solutions regarding wastewater management for small and medium-sized communities;
- Criteria regarding the design and operational management of small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants;
- Management of sewarage and wastewater treatment services in small and medium-sized communities;
- Sludge management for small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants;
- Solutions for optimizing the operating costs for small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants;
- Energy efficiency of small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants;
- Good practices and experiences gained in using alternative wastewater treatment solutions in small and medium-sized communities.
Exhibition
The Danube-Eastern Europe Regional Forum will host in parallel with the Conference a specialised trade show that will provide an ideal opportunity for companies to
promote their services and products relating to all aspects of water supply and sewage management.
